Young couple sit together silentbacks to the bright window
not in the mood for sunshine
this fine day
She white as a sheet
hair loss covered with a scarf
bright red
leaning deadweight
head on his shoulder
eyes tight shut
broken punchbag body
trying the best she can
to deal with the pain
He with one armgently round her
the other hanging
useless by his side
desperate fist clenched
eyes not focused on the room
but on some private battleground
an enemy he has to beat
or else
