There
Is A Feeling In The Air
C. W. Smith © 2006
There is a feeling in the air as
we open ourselves to the night
Walking in the evening as twilight drops its blanket over the land
As the night air embraces our skin kissing it softly, almost lovingly.
Bringing the taste, the smell, the feel of the air to us
Letting us know that nature has shed the last of her season wrappings.
There is a feeling in the air as we absorb the changes and listen as we hear
The sounds of the changing seasons as the wind blows over us
Making it feel moist like a woman's kiss on our bare skin
Not cold, nor hot, a feeling of warmth and still a chill that touches us
Leaving us damp as the air passes over letting us know that
There is a feeling in the air that is always new and exciting,
Forever bringing us closer to the next change and knowing that it will be there.
