City Tableau #8

Approaching a slender man standing atop an average without

antecedent to incident street corner,

garbed in simple monochromatic attire,

resembling sand atop sand atop sand.

He was holding a yellow pencil, writing atop

yellow blue-lined paper.

Curiosity leaped quickly from my asking tongue.

He, a philosopher, documenting à la mode occurrences

within pathetic popular culture, happening wildly across its long

winding body, a binding bridge-tattoo of nonsense.

The philosopher mentioned audacious, degenerative behavior which

augmented his documentation with strong, stinging, shouting vernacular.

He appreciated my questioning his presence and

therefore attributed my inquiries to being an outcast from

within the modern mode of the meticulous malicious.

Felino Soriano, from Caifornia, a philosophy student and behavioral assistant, finds classic and avant-garde jazz muses, juxtaposed with philosophical studies, one can ascertain his poetry inspirations. His poetry appears or is forthcoming in Silent Actor, Pen Himalaya, Breed Press, Bolts of Silk, Wet Asphalt, among others.
