Simone hadn't expected to be named executor.  They'd remained friends, after the divorce, after years of separation.  This house felt emptier even than that day he'd caught her with Lily and left. 

Lily left too.

A final check, she closed the door, dropped the key at the agent's, went home.

There were a few enquiries but no takers.  She reread his final story then informed the server Ever After Magazine was dead.  They sent an acknowledgement. 

Hours later she put in a search.
