Painters' Exhalations 463

“Paths are invisible.”

The liar travels into a door, distanced
beyond the eye's lengthiest fingertip.

The liar returns, stating he was away, but still
in the presence of all onlookers.

He, a tribute to revealing desperate findings,
fell into mistake's many open
prisons, disparate to safety, thus his
invisible statement includes
a calling toward another's shelter first,
though the tongues of his accusers
will never be removed.
