NEW From Pill Hill Press

Call for Submissions:
Back to the Middle of Nowhere: More Horror in Rural America
Edited by Chris Bartholomew & Jessica A. Weiss
Send submission to: tmon@pillhillpress.com
Deadline: 15 July 2010
Tentative Release Date: September 2010

In September 2009, twenty-eight authors shocked readers with their terrifying stories of horror lurking in the dark recesses of rural America in Pill Hill Press' first publication, The Middle of Nowhere: Horror in Rural America ...

We're ready to do it again.

Let's bring some country into your nightmares!

We're looking for horror/suspense stories that take place in RURAL AMERICA. Any rural American locale is acceptable. We want dark and disturbing. We want spooky and spine tingling. We want macabre and malevolent.

Supernatural/ghost stories welcome. Traditional creature stories (zombies, werewolves, vampires, etc.) will be considered as long as presented in a horrific, fresh and interesting way.

Think farmland. Think abandoned buildings. Think long, creepy country roads. Most importantly, think outside the box!

SCARE ME, THRILL ME, MAKE ME WANT TO PACK MY BAGS AND MOVE TO THE CITY!

Stories should be 2,000-5,000 words in length. We are not accepting reprints, multiple submissions or simultaneous submissions at this time. Thank you.

What we don't want:
